The margin of height and location of repair can be assessed by DIN 3968 and GB accuracy class.
1.5.2 Shaving cutter measurement: Category - ordinary shaving cutter, plunge shaving cutter.
Measurement of following characteristics - profile error, error to the teeth, tooth from the error (cumulative, adjacent), level of accuracy of radial beating and teeth can be assessed according to GB standard.
1.5.3 Shaping cutter measurement: Class – cutter for straight gears, cutter for helical gears, irregular teeth cutter
Measurement of following characteristics - profile error, helix error, pitch, runout, radial cutting angle, relief angle, and clearance angle can be assessed according to DIN 1829 accuracy class.
